5 easy steps to your funding

Step 1: Are you eligible?

You are eligible for funding if you are a tenant, lessee or owner and own or live on property in Frankfurt.

However, as a tenant you need the permission of your landlord.

Step 2: Apply for funding

The funding must be applied for before purchase.

Please note that not only the material costs of a mini solar system are eligible for funding, but also the costs for the necessary wiring and connection systems required to operate the system (such as the installation of outdoor sockets if none are available). However, only up to the amount of the module costs.

Step 3: Buy your balcony solar system

Choose the right mini solar system for you. The decisive factors are where you want to place it (balcony, garden or flat roof) and how many watts you need.

Step 4: Register your balcony solar system

As a new solar system owner, you only have to register your system in the market master data register.

Register with the Federal Network Agency here: www.marktstammdatenregister.de

Since April 26, 2024: Registration with a network operator is no longer necessary .

Step 5: Request a payout

Once you have purchased your mini solar system and installed it at the location you specified, you must now submit your proof of use. As soon as your proof of use has been checked, you will receive the subsidy amount.
